Attention All Oakland Co. Taxpayers

We expect the Michigan Senate to vote soon on Bill 653, the “History Museum Authorities Act”.  This bill will authorize a ballot proposal to raise property taxes on homes and businesses by 0.4 mills for 20 years.  This bill, full of special features to ensure two Detroit museums get over $40 million in new taxes each year, paid by homeowners in only two counties.  There will be a fun event for kids after.
